Water Safety for Human Health: Detection of Pollutants by Blue-Emission Carbon Quantum Dots via Three Modes in Different Polluted Water Bodies

نویسندگان

چکیده

Water quality directly affects human health. It is very important to design a probe that can detect the pollutants in water. In this study, we synthesized one kind of carbon dots (CDs), which could emit strong blue fluorescence. The fluorescence be quenched by 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP) ascribed energy transfer (ET), lemon yellow (LY) inner filter effect (IFE), and HClO surface passivation (SP). TNP, LY, are common contaminants By our experiment, it was proved CDs safe effective fluorescent material used (TNP, HClO) actual water sample.

Water-Soluble Silicon Quantum Dots with Quasi-Blue Emission

In this study, water-soluble silicon quantum dots have quasi-blue emission at 390 nm by being capped with 1-vinylimidazole in resese micelles. As-obtained silicon quantum dots have a diameter of 2~5 nm and high crystallinity. The quasi-blue emission of the silicon quantum dots is likely attributed to the polarity of the capping ligands. Moreover, the silicon quantum dots are water-soluble and h...

Conductance in quantum wires by three quantum dots arrays

A noninteracting quantum-dot arrays side coupled to a quantum wire is studied. Transport through the quantum wire is investigated by using a noninteracting Anderson tunneling Hamiltonian. The conductance at zero temperature develops an oscillating band with resonances and antiresonances due to constructive and destructive interference in the ballistic channel, respectively. Moreover, we have fo...

development of different optical methods for determination of glucose using cadmium telluride quantum dots and silver nanoparticles

a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...

Monitoring of Polluted Water Bodies by Remote Sensing

The purpose of this study is to evaluate a remote sensing method for real time monitoring of wastewater effluent. Reflectance in the range from 400 to 950 nm with a spectral resolution of 2 nm, simultaneously with turbidity, chlorophyll and total suspended matter contents were acquired in two wastewater systems: RUm and Naan, Israel. The reflectance spectra of wastewater effluent were investiga...
